BrightBooks Terms and Conditions
Brightbook's Terms and Conditions are aligned to the Electronic Communication and Transaction Act 2002 ("the ECTA") and the Consumer Protection Act of 2008 ("the CPA").
These terms and conditions cover your use of the BrightBooks website currently www.brightbooks.co.za also called "the website".
You will be bound by the Terms and Conditions when you visit, use the website or make payments to BrightBooks via the website.
BrightBooks are able to change, modify, add or remove from the Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be effective as soon as they are posted to the website. It is your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions. Your use of the website means that you agree with the current Terms and Conditions.

Privacy Policy
BrightBooks do not to share, distribute or sell your details to any 3rd Party. BrightBooks will use your information for your order and to update you with any relevant information.
The website uses Google Analytics features based on Display Advertising: Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. Using the Ads Settings, visitors can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customise Google Display Network ads. Please also refer to Google Analytics' currently available opt outs for the web.
The website makes use of remarketing to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on sites across the Internet.
The website and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimise and serve ads based on past visits to the BrightBooks website.
Data Protection
BrightBooks will process the information it receives from you or otherwise holds about you in line with these Terms and its privacy policy. You consent to the use by BrightBooks of such information in line with these Terms and BrightBooks' privacy policy.
Payment Policy
All amounts include VAT unless otherwise stated.
If payment is made via electronic transfer, you must pay BrightBooks directly. The banking details are on your invoice and please use the booking number (Order ID) as the payment reference.

Returns, Exchange and Refund Policy
If you purchased your books via the website, Section 44 of the ECTA does not provide for a cooling off period. Once access codes for e-books have been emailed no refunds can be granted.
If the book is damaged so much so that it renders the book unusable, BrightBooks will replace the book in exchange for the original.
BrightBooks will refund you within 30 days if you have not received your book within two weeks of the planned delivery date.
Deliveries and Collections
BrightBooks use a trusted courier company to deliver your study material. Our courier needs a physical address and someone who is able to sign for your order (if not you) during office hours. Material cannot be sent to a postal address.
You may collect your material from our registered office in Cape Town. In this case BrightBooks staff will let you know when your study material is ready for collection.
Your study material is sent within 24-48 hours after we've confirmed your payment.
Study material will be couriered once the last item included in the booking is available for dispatch. Early courier of in-stock material will occur at the sole discretion of BrightBooks. In all cases, BrightBooks endeavors to give you with the most up-to-date study material available as soon as possible. This may cause delays when BrightBooks is waiting for updated material to be received from suppliers. Please familiarise yourself with the study material availability before making a payment.
You may collect your material from a 3rd party collection site as indicated on your invoice. This 3rd party will let you know when your study material is ready for collection.

BrightBooks' free shipping policy is only available within South Africa
BrightBooks’ free shipping policy is only available on original orders for dispatch within South Africa. It does not apply to any changes to your order once the initial material has been couriered. Should the change to your order allow for subjects to be swapped, you will be responsible for delivering the original material to the BrightBooks Head Office in Cape Town. You will incur an extra postage fee which will need to be paid in full, before the additional material will be dispatched from the Head Office.
Should you request delivery of material to a country outside South Africa, you will receive an additional charge for international shipping once your booking has been confirmed. Please be aware that you may be subject to import fees when collecting your material from customs in the country of delivery.
Complaints Policy
BrightBooks always investigates any complaint brought to our attention in writing. You may also email our Customer Services Department at orders@brightbooks.co.za.
Liability
You will have no claim against BrightBooks and by this you indemnify and hold BrightBooks and its holding company free from liability for any loss, damage or claims arising from death, injury, loss of income or property damage.
